Fall 2026 Rueda Modules

Below is our list of modules that will be taught this fall in our Level 1 and Level 2 classes (along with the corresponding dates). Like a language, rueda has many “dialects” and is constantly evolving and, as such, there will be other groups with variations in move names and styling conventions. That’s okay! We’re not here to establish ourselves as the one all-knowing rueda group, we’re just here to share what we’ve learned and are continuing to learn about a music genre and dance style we love with a community we love. ♡

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone participating, we ask that you demonstrate you can comfortably and consistently dance all Level 1 moves before joining Level 2, and all Level 2 moves in your primary role as well as all Level 1 moves (plus vacila, sombrero, and setenta!) in your non-primary role before joining Level 3. Staying at a level to hone your skills helps you become a better dancer, ensures you are appropriately challenged in class, and supports the learning of the entire circle! You can learn moves from our classes, other rueda groups, or online (two of my instructors in CA put together this YouTube playlist of fundamental moves that overlaps much of our group's naming convention and technique), and if you have questions about specific moves or general partner dance connection, don’t hesitate to ask us!

Please note there is no class Thursday 10/8 or on Thanksgiving (Thursday 11/26) - I will certainly be giving thanks for all of you who have become part of my community here ♡
